Agency denies subdivision permit for inadequate stormwater data

CT EAST HAMPTON — Inland Wetlands Watercourse Agency denies three-lot subdivision permit over stormwater concerns. Vice Chair W. Dean Kavalkovich led the four-member board in unanimously rejecting Application IW-25-030 (Taylor Rand, 45 Long Hill Road) without prejudice, citing missing soil evaluation data for rain gardens and detention basins, inadequate topographical information, and a culvert design inconsistent with Army Corps of Engineers guidelines for a project involving 88,000 square feet of upland review area disturbance.
The agency determined a two-lot alternative was feasible and prudent and would eliminate or greatly reduce likely wetland impacts. Two other residential applications were approved or continued to February 25 for additional information.
