Agriculture Commission elects Strong chairman, Bitel vice chair

CT EAST HAMPTON — East Hampton Agriculture Commission elects Strong as chairman, sets regular meeting schedule. The newly formed commission elected Stephen Strong as chairperson, Christopher Bitel as vice chairperson, and designated Teesha Grant as the Regional Agriculture Commission representative, all by unanimous vote at its inaugural organizational meeting on July 15. The commission approved a regular meeting schedule of the third Wednesday of each month at 5 p.m. at Town Hall.
Members committed to reviewing the Agriculture Commission ordinance and the Right to Farm ordinance, with plans to work with the Planning and Zoning Commission to modernize local regulations affecting small farms and micro-farming.
