America 250 Committee approves agenda, reviews town celebration plans.

America 250 Committee Meeting · Meeting of April 14, 2026

CT EAST HAMPTON — East Hampton's America 250 Committee unanimously approved its April agenda and heard reports on bicentennial events planned through September. Co-Chairs Jack Solomon and Kevin Reich, along with seven members present in person and via Zoom, heard that the Lions Club will host a Navy Band concert May 12th preceded by refreshments, the Rotary Club is planning a half-kilometer road race fundraiser June 7th, and a "13 Bells for 13 Colonies" treasure hunt will run starting in June. Reich reported the VFW declined to oversee the committee's veteran banner program and he will find a town resident to lead that effort instead.

The committee voted to move its May 12th regular meeting to May 5th at 5:00 p.m. to avoid conflict with the Navy Band concert.
