CT EAST HAMPTON — East Hampton Board of Finance discusses road bonding strategy with competing capital needs. Public Works Director Matthew Walsh presented a road maintenance framework showing 15 miles requiring major rehabilitation and 21 miles needing minor work on the town's 92 miles of roadway, estimating 15 to 20 million dollars and five years to address deteriorated roads while maintaining routine maintenance. Director of Finance Jeffery Jylkka reported year-to-date FY 2027 finances show no issues and unrestricted fund balance stands at 12.0 percent of the approved budget, at the top of the 10 to 12 percent policy guideline.
