Board of Finance deliberates on FY 2026-2027 budget; requests additional data

Board of Finance · Meeting of March 26, 2026

CT EAST HAMPTON — East Hampton Board of Finance deliberates on budget without voting. Chaired by Anthony Spagnoletti, the board discussed the FY 2026-2027 budget's three major components—capital, town operations, and schools—with particular attention to the Board of Education's proposed 4.81 percent increase. Board member Alison Walck, speaking for senior taxpayers, urged a 2.5 percent increase instead, citing the Consumer Price Index.

Finance Director Jeffery Jylkka will analyze paving and parking lot funding options; Superintendent Timothy Van Tasel will provide data on class sizes and outplacement costs before the board considers further recommendations.
