Brownfields Agency receives $250,000 state grant for remediation

CT EAST HAMPTON — Brownfields Redevelopment Agency awarded $250,000 in state funding for contaminated site remediation. The agency, chaired by Ryan Baldassario, is advancing remediation assessments at three contaminated sites following the $250,000 award from the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection announced in December 2025. Consultant Pam Lind from VHB updated the agency on work at 3 Walnut Street, where a remediation action plan is being drafted; 13 Watrous Street, where soil investigation into PCB contamination is underway; and 13 Summit Street, where chlorinated solvents have been detected in the bedrock aquifer.
The Town Council will officially accept the grant.
