Clean Energy Task Force advances Voltpost charging site

Clean Energy Task Force · Meeting of July 7, 2026

CT EAST HAMPTON — Clean Energy Task Force advances EV charging station plan through Voltpost pole-procurement decision. Chair Russ Kaplan and members Kathleen Monroe, Silas Kavalkovich, and David Price agreed that Voltpost will secure the charging pole on the town's behalf with reimbursement after installation, contingent on Town Manager approval and Town Council review. The task force approved prior meeting minutes 5-0 and reviewed progress on the Pollinator Pathway and Bronze Certification programs through Sustainable CT.

A Heatsmart outreach mailing brought in 352 assessment leads, and the task force is planning additional targeted fall outreach efforts.
