Commission continues Skinner Street special permit, schedules ADU text amendment hearing
Planning & Zoning Commission · Meeting of August 5, 2026
CT EAST HAMPTON — East Hampton Planning and Zoning Commission continued a mixed-use special permit hearing and advanced accessory dwelling unit regulations. The Commission postponed the public hearing for Skinner Street Properties LLC's application to modify a special permit at 46 Skinner Street, voting unanimously to move it to September 2 after determining a drainage report had not been submitted 10 days in advance as required. In new business, the Commission voted unanimously to schedule a public hearing on proposed text amendments to Section 8.4.M allowing accessory dwelling units in all zones, addressing resident interest in the R2 Zone where they are currently prohibited.
Planning and Zoning Official Juliet Hodge reported the Plan of Conservation and Development is 90 percent complete, with formal adoption hearings slated for November and year-end completion targeted.
