CT EAST HAMPTON — Commission on Aging approves budget, backs full-time Senior Center position. The Commission on Aging unanimously approved its 2026-2027 budget and voiced continued support for converting a part-time Senior Center position to full-time, estimated to cost $80,000 in additional budget, which Chair Dr. Eric Rosenberg reported after meeting with Town Manager David Cox.
The commission supported the need for the full-time position but declined to specify a funding source. Senior Center Director Holly Marrero reported 1,161 people served from December 9 through January 6, with 70 rides provided and 144 volunteer hours, and noted 16 new programs added including Tai Chi and flex and stretch classes.
