CT EAST HAMPTON — Commission on Aging addresses budget cuts and housing policy. Chair Eric Rosenberg, MD, and Vice Chair Cindy Craig urged members to email Town Council and Finance Board members by June 12 advocating retention of a full-time Senior Center position after the June 2 budget referendum failed; the Board of Finance will vote on amended budget June 15. Senior Center Director Holly Marrero reported 820 attendees and 1,137 patrons served in the most recent period, but persistent air conditioning failures continue to force programming relocations.
The Commission unanimously backed expansion of accessory dwelling units beyond current R2 prohibitions, with Chair Rosenberg recommending public comments at Planning and Zoning meetings and approving a $1,701.60 treadmill purchase for the Senior Center.
