CT EAST HAMPTON — Firehouse committee advances decision on consolidation versus relocation for Companies 1 and 2. The committee received an updated SP&A architectural report projecting over $25 million to combine the two buildings into one facility, excluding site acquisition, and heard estimates for a three-to-five-year renovation plan should the department remain on current sites. Fire Chief data indicated 92 percent of calls originate from Company 1, underscoring the need for a centrally located replacement if relocation is chosen.

Members will review materials before the next monthly meeting and present their recommendation to the Town Council, which has requested a full package detailing both the committee's preferred option and implementation steps.
