Firehouse Site and Development Committee · Meeting of October 5, 2026

CT EAST HAMPTON — The Firehouse Site and Development Committee decided to recommend a new Company 1 firehouse while maintaining Company 2 as is. SP&A presented cost estimates for four facility options ranging from $7.1 million to $25.9 million; the committee selected the new Company 1 path because Company 1 handles more than 90 percent of calls and serves as headquarters for both departments. Robert Rainville volunteered to draft the main recommendation to the Town Council, with Chair Richard Knotek and Mary Ann Dostaler drafting supporting sections.

Rough drafts will be reviewed at the next monthly meeting, with a vote on the final recommendation expected then.
