CT EAST HAMPTON — East Hampton Conservation-Lake Commission advances aquatic plant treatment plan. Chair Jason Hartling's six-member body unanimously approved the January minutes and learned that Army Corps of Engineers funding has cleared for Hydrilla spot treatment around the lake perimeter in June or July, contingent on a Department of Energy and Environmental Protection survey. Members discussed notifying residents of treatment dates, chemicals, and justification, and will review a draw-down proposal at the March 17 budget presentation.
Only 40 percent of the operating budget has been spent; ten new buoys arrive in March.
