CT EAST HAMPTON — East Hampton allocates $30,444 from opioid settlement funds for ambulance equipment and training. The Town Council unanimously approved $15,444.25 for a Stryker LUCAS mechanical CPR device for the East Hampton Ambulance Association and $15,000 for EMS and fire training, with a requirement that the Association provide a training plan and timeframe. The Association operates three ambulances, one currently without a LUCAS device and another at the manufacturer's recommended end of service life.

In separate action, the Council voted 5-1 to appropriate $593,400 from fiscal year 2026 unanticipated revenues to the Capital Reserve Fund for fiscal 2027 capital improvements, with Council member Ted Hintz, Jr. voting against the transfer without Town Meeting approval.
