CT EAST HAMPTON — Fire Commission approves prior minutes and reviews capital projects. The board voted 5-0 on June 8 minutes and discussed dry hydrant repairs, noting water in the Walnut Avenue hydrant and completion of Seven Hills hydrant work. Consulting firm SP&A has submitted initial property reports for a potential new firehouse; members favor renovated buildings and await revised assessments.
The commission also discussed establishing a mutual aid agreement for the Fire Marshal's office with surrounding towns, with Town Manager support noted. A $6,000 engine maintenance cost will charge to the current fiscal year following the town's failed budget referendum.
