Fire Commission approves temporary Deputy Fire Marshal through June.

CT EAST HAMPTON — The Fire Commission unanimously approved a temporary Deputy Fire Marshal through June 30th to cover inspections and emergency calls while Fire Marshal Rich Klotzbier takes vacation. Chairman William Abbott said the Town Manager and Human Resources have cleared the arrangement. The applicant would handle fire inspections and be called on an emergency basis.
The Commission voted 5-0 to accept the hire contingent on HR documentation and authorized staff to investigate converting the position to a contractor arrangement beyond the temporary term.
