CT EAST HAMPTON — Firehouse Site and Development Committee advances RFP timeline and property exploration. Chairman Richard Knotek and all eight members unanimously approved the agenda and January minutes, then reviewed a mandatory contractor walkthrough attended by seven of eight invited firms. The RFP response deadline is February 13 at noon; the committee will hold a special meeting February 19 to narrow contractor submissions, with interviews scheduled for the March 2 regular meeting.
The committee discussed consolidating Companies 1 and 2 into a single building while keeping Company 3 operational, and plans to use a traffic study and the town's GIS system to identify viable properties before selecting a site.
