Firehouse committee hears SP&A's firehouse evaluation timeline

Firehouse Site and Development Committee · Meeting of April 29, 2026

CT EAST HAMPTON — The Firehouse Site and Development Committee heard from consulting engineers at SP&A on the process for evaluating three town firehouse properties. Lead architect Marco Vasantini and engineer Dean Petricelli told the committee they will deliver three separate bound reports by mid to late June, with each report prioritizing repairs chronologically and flagging the most urgent work first. Company 2 has the most significant structural issues, including concrete slab and foundation settling, while Company 1 requires facade replacement and apparatus clearance improvements.

The firm will evaluate whether each building should be renovated or relocated; committee member Alan Lisowski volunteered to draft parameters for identifying alternative town land as a backup option.
