Firehouse committee sets July meeting with engineering firm

Firehouse Site and Development Committee · Meeting of June 1, 2026

CT EAST HAMPTON — Firehouse Site and Development Committee approves meeting calendar, defers site decisions pending engineer report. The committee heard that SP&A engineers completed on-site measurements at three candidate locations and plan to deliver their full report by June 17th; the panel will hold the findings alongside Fire Chief correspondence before selecting a property. Members established that a new firehouse requires three to five acres and must meet a seven-minute response-time standard and ISO requirements.

Chairman Richard Knotek's committee voted unanimously to approve the remainder-of-year meeting schedule and invited SP&A to present at the July 6th session.
