CT EAST HAMPTON — Inland Wetlands Agency unanimously approves two construction applications in upland review areas. The Agency voted 4-0 to approve Ryan Brodeur's proposal to construct a 30-foot by 50-foot garage at 98 Middletown Avenue with an infiltration system designed to have minimal impact on adjacent wetlands. The Agency also voted 4-0 to approve John and Karen Stewart's single-family home at 109 Mott Hill, conditioned on restoration and replanting of excavated wetland areas with native vegetation and stabilization of the discharge area to prevent erosion.

Town Planner Juliet Hodge reported investigating clearing activity at 227 West High Street in a large wetland area and noted ongoing Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection involvement in remediation of a prior oil spill at the property.
