Inland Wetlands Agency approves two upland review projects with conditions

CT EAST HAMPTON — Inland Wetlands Agency approves two upland review applications with unanimous votes. The Agency, with Chairman Josh Wilson presiding and four members present, endorsed Ryan Brodeur's revised 30-foot by 50-foot garage at 98 Middletown Avenue, designed with deep gravel trenches, perforated drainage pipe, and silt fencing for erosion control. The Board also approved John and Karen Stewart's single-family home at 109 Mott Hill, conditioned on restoration and replanting of all excavated wetland areas with native vegetation and stabilization of the discharge area to prevent erosion and scour.
Town Planner Juliet Hodge reported ongoing investigation into clearing activity at 227 West High Street, where the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is remediating a prior oil spill.
