CT EAST HAMPTON — The East Hampton Library Advisory Board approved January minutes and heard Director Christine Cachuela present consortium research favoring LCI over LION membership. Cachuela reported that a second IT consultation confirmed full technology support is not financially feasible but routine management could be handled in-house with limited project-based support. Board members agreed LCI offers stronger long-term stability, lower dues, broader material access, and superior delivery services, though some savings may be redirected to technology expenses; Cachuela will present a final recommendation in March.
She also distributed preliminary space planning calculations using a State Library tool and examples from neighboring towns, with board members tasked to bring proposed goals for Library expansion or facility improvements to the next meeting.
