Library board approves Plan of Conservation and Development goals

CT EAST HAMPTON — Library Advisory Board unanimously approves Plan of Conservation and Development goals. The board endorsed a target to increase resident library cardholders from 38 percent to 50 percent, requiring approximately 1,619 new cardholders, and approved parking estimates of 80 to 90 spaces for inclusion in the plan. Library Director Christine Cachuela reported the library's transition from LION to LCI consortium begins in Fall 2026, with go-live expected late May or early June 2027.
The current parking lot contains 59 spaces; Cachuela is coordinating with Senior Center Director Holly Marrero and Town Planner Juliet Hodge on final parking projections.
