Planning & Zoning Commission · Meeting of September 2, 2026

CT EAST HAMPTON — Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approves Skinner Street mixed-use permit, defers ADU housing amendment. The commission voted 7-0 to close the public hearing and approve the special permit modification for 46 Skinner Street, allowing expanded mixed-use and commercial uses; Chair Ray Zatorski and Vice Chair Michael Kowalczyk reported no issues in a reviewed drainage report. The accessory dwelling unit text amendment, which would raise the maximum size from 900 to 1,200 square feet and extend units to all residential zones, drew extensive public comment focused on housing needs for elderly residents and neighborhood preservation concerns.

The commission voted 7-0 to continue the amendment to October 7, 2026 for further discussion.
