CT EAST HAMPTON — Planning & Zoning Commission approves two major applications unanimously. The commission voted 7-0 to approve Tony Flannery's three-lot re-subdivision at Map 6, Block 37, Lot 1, with conditions requiring the shared driveway agreement to be executed by staff and erosion control plans in future site plans, and voted 7-0 to approve Ryan Brodeur's special permit for a 30-by-50-foot storage building and garage at 98 Middletown Avenue. In separate action, the commission voted 4-3 to send a favorable report to Town Council on the proposed acquisition of 292 West High Street as a buffer for the wastewater facility, with members Angelus Tammaro, James Sennett, and Roy Gauthier opposing, and the commission accepted a zone change application from William House and scheduled its public hearing for May 6, 2026.
Chair Ray Zatorski also reported that staff must revise zoning regulations by July 1 to comply with new state housing legislation allowing multi-family and mixed-use housing in Commercial zones by Site Plan Review.
