CT EAST HAMPTON — East Hampton Plan of Conservation and Development Steering Committee unanimously approves prior minutes and refocuses on implementation after finding the 2016 plan was never acted upon. Chair Juliet Hodge reviewed two key documents synthesizing public input and identified core tensions: Village Center revitalization blocked by infrastructure gaps, school enrollment decline met by rising fixed costs, and missed regional cooperation opportunities. The committee voted to model the next POCD as a "living document" with quarterly inter-commission meetings, quarterly public accountability to the Town Council, and bite-sized prioritized actions with budget attachments, rather than aspirational goal lists.

A 663-response survey is being analyzed, and an outside consultant will facilitate a June visioning session; the committee is one to two months behind schedule and will inform the state.
