CT EAST HAMPTON — East Hampton Town Council approves EV charging station locations and raises fees to cover lost transit services. Council voted unanimously to install Voltpost chargers at Town Hall and the Village Center parking lot, with the town purchasing a streetlight pole for the latter at an estimated $1,500 to $3,000. In a separate unanimous vote, the council raised Transfer Station fees to generate approximately $29,000 in new revenue, offsetting a $24,700 budget cut: the annual sticker fee climbs from $10 to $20, and bulky waste fees increase by roughly 50 percent across categories, restoring two days of monthly station operations.
The council also unanimously approved the $235,600 water budget with no rate increase.
