Town Council approves fire station assessment contract, changes library consortium.

CT EAST HAMPTON — East Hampton Town Council unanimously approves fire station assessments and library consortium shift. Town Manager David Cox detailed the selection of Silver Petrucelli and Associates for a $50,100 property condition assessment of three fire stations, with the Firehouse Site and Development Committee choosing the firm after interviews with three qualified respondents. Library Director Christine Cachuela recommended transitioning from Libraries Online, Inc. to Library Connection, Inc., effective July 2027, citing lower fees, capped annual increases of 2.5 percent versus historical 3.5 to 4 percent increases, and expanded access to 31 member libraries' collections.
The Library Advisory Board endorsed the change, and the council voted unanimously on both items. The council also approved tax refunds totaling $1,020.56.
