Water Pollution Control Authority advances pump station consolidation and Clark Hill sewer extension

CT EAST HAMPTON — East Hampton Water Pollution Control Authority schedules public hearing on Clark Hill sewer extension and reviews long-term pump station consolidation plan. The board voted 7-0 on February 3 to hold the March 3 hearing on the Clark Hill Road extension, which would address a failed septic system at 65-67 Clark Hill. Public Utilities Administrator Anthony DeSimone briefed members on easement acquisition efforts for Bear Swamp Road consolidation, 30 Long Crossing gravity line installation, and long-term planning data requests from member communities.
The Authority is consolidating from 19 pump stations to 11 over multiple fiscal years. FY 27 budget recommendations include moving WPCA salaries to the Joint Facilities budget and bonding pump station improvements jointly to reduce bond counsel costs.
