WPCA approves flat-rate interim budget; commits to holding sewer rates steady.

CT EAST HAMPTON — Water Pollution Control Authority holds sewer rates flat in fiscal 2027. The authority unanimously approved an interim two-month sewer budget of $413,000 and directed a review committee to revise the fiscal year 2026-2027 sewer proposal to maintain flat rates using approximately one million dollars in operating reserves. The original proposal had sought an 8 percent increase.
The authority separately approved the water system budget of $235,600 with no rate changes. The sewer fund is tracking to a fiscal 2025-2026 surplus of approximately $100,000 on expenses of $1.968 million and revenues of $2.419 million.
