Zoning Board approves barn variance on Daly Road lot.

Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of June 8, 2026

CT EAST HAMPTON — Zoning Board of Appeals unanimously approves barn variance for rural residential property. Chair Brian Spack led the board in a 5-0 vote granting Kenneth Barber relief to construct a 24-by-32-foot barn at 39 Daly Road with front setbacks reduced from 50 feet to 20.88 feet along Pecausett Trail and from 50 feet to 43.4 feet along Daly Road, and lot coverage increased from 12.6 percent to 14.4 percent. The board found that the lot's creation in 1953 before zoning adoption, combined with the Pecausett Trail's creation of a second frontage, created a hardship justifying the variance.

A second variance application from Kevin and Amanda Reed for a deck construction at 5 Hawthorne is scheduled for public hearing August 10, 2026.
