Zoning Board approves variance reducing nonconforming lot coverage.

Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of May 11, 2026

CT EAST HAMPTON — Zoning Board of Appeals unanimously approves variance formalizing reduced nonconformity. Chair Brian Spack and Vice-Chair Kevin Reed led the board in approving PegArch Architecture's application to reduce existing maximum lot coverage from 45 percent to 39.4 percent at 12 West Point Road, recognizing the property's longstanding nonconforming condition while endorsing the applicant's stormwater recharge system and net decrease in impervious surfaces. The vote was 5-0.

The board also accepted two new variance applications for future hearings: Kenneth Barber's June 8 request to construct a barn with reduced setbacks at 39 Daly Road, and Kevin and Amanda Reed's August 10 request for a deck with reduced side setback at 5 Hawthorne.
