CT EAST HAMPTON — The Zoning Board of Appeals unanimously re-elected Brian Spack as Chair and Kevin Reed as Vice Chair, and approved a revised 2026 meeting calendar. The board shifted the October session to October 19 to accommodate room availability and the board's traditional meeting night. Five members present approved the measures without dissent.
During discussion, Planning and Zoning Official Juliet Hodge explained that early advisories to applicants about the legal hardship standard required for variances has reduced the volume of formal applications; members noted the board may review lot coverage and accessory structure regulations in response to historical patterns of repeated variance requests.
