CT EAST HAMPTON — Water Committee advances groundwater exploration and partnership feasibility planning. The committee, chaired by Jack Solomon, heard presentations from consultants Apex Companies and Raftelis on a potential partnership with Connecticut Water and reviewed test-well drilling planned for mid-February at the Global Storage Property. Apex will install three four-inch diameter test wells, conduct pump tests, and collect water-quality samples; drilling may trigger state requirements for a joint wellfield if interference with Connecticut Water's Rivercrest Well is detected.
The town secured $2 million in Connecticut Department of Public Health planning funds for fiscal year 2026 and ranked fourth on the state's $125 million Comprehensive Project List, with new Project Eligibility Applications due by March 13th.
