Board of Finance Recommends $105,000 Appropriation for Land Purchase

CT EAST HAMPTON — East Hampton Board of Finance recommends $105,000 purchase of West High Street land. The board voted 6-0-1 on March 16 to appropriate funds from the town's General Fund balance for the 2.81-acre parcel at 292 West High Street, with member Kurt Comisky abstaining. Board member Ted Turner moved the motion, seconded by David Caterisano.
The appropriation covers title insurance, closing expenses, legal fees, and administrative costs; public comment both opposed and supported the purchase.
